Full Description
February/March 1995. Found in garden of house.
Three fresh sherds.
Jar rim with finger impression on top, Thetford-type.
Jar rim in early medieval everted form, medieval unglazed (late 12th/13th century).
Body sherd with small ovoid section handle, glazed Grimston jug (14th century).
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA), 8 March 1995.
Late April 1997. Further casual finds of freshish sherds.
Glazed Grimston: large strap handle, stabbed, and two body sherds.
One body sherd with interior and exterior thick lead glaze, late Grimston or from another local source, early post medieval.

Further finds in garden, up to 18 July 2000.
Fragment of very wide (57mm) stabbed strap handle, half a flat jug base and three body sherds glazed grimston.
One body sherd and one ?jug rim reduced lead glazed 16th century.
One basal sherd 16th century stoneware, one Glazed Red Earthenware.
