Map

Milestone, to south of Blickling Park.
Rectangular with cornice and chamfered corners. Incised 'Blickling House 1 mile Holt 10 miles'.
Interesting as not connected with a turnpike road but apparently erected by owners of Hall.
(S1) dates this example as 18th century and NHER 31289 as 19th century though both appear to be identical.
Note also reference to Blickling House rather than Hall.
E. Rose (NLA) 6 July 1995.

September 2008.
Milestone possibly designed and set up by Thomas Ivory
