Summary

Metal detecting at this site from 1994-98 retrieved a range of metal objects from a number of periods, including a Saxon ansate brooch, various medieval and post medieval coins and a Viking bell with a scalloped edge.

Full Description

1994. Metal detector find.
Ansate brooch decorated with symmetrical dot-in-circle (four on each terminal and on each side of bow). H-shaped lug and catchplate on reverse.
