December 1994/January 1995. Metal detecting.
Medieval gilded bronze harness pendant, or casket mount attachment bar.
Pierced square terminal boss with cross hatching, half round 'arm' and another square cross hatched boss. Expanding to a broken, ?circular, plate.
Lovely high quality lead circular seal matrix, 12th/13th century.
Slightly broken and loop broken off edge. Fleur de lis upside down in centre. + S'THOME DE SVTHGATE
