Summary

Metal detecting here in 1995 recovered a Late Saxon stirrup strap mount, part of an unusual medieval ring brooch and an Iron Age strap mount with red and blue enamelling.

January/February 1995. Metal detector finds.
Late Saxon triangular box mount. No flange, two rivets near base, engraved pierced lobe at apex. Quadruped in low relief with raised head and raised front paw, tail curling over back. Milled borders.
Part of medieval ring brooch with two empty collets and an openwork 'leaf' folding back on itself. Very unusual.

Iron Age bronze strap mount, (S1). Raised eye-shaped boss enamelled in centre, with red and blue quarters. Triangular red enamel inlay in corners.
