Summary

A fossil and a possible medieval openwork box mount were found. The exact nature and location of this discovery are unclear. The ammonite (fossil) in a lead frame with a loop may be an Early Saxon pendant. The possible mount depicts the winged lion of St Mark.

Medieval gilded and white metal coated openwork roundel with winged lion of St Mark (possible box mount) with two or three rivet holes. Early Saxon? ammonite within lead frame with suspension loop.
