Summary

In 1980 a Bronze Age bronze axehead was found 'hooked in the tines' of farm machinery. It was either a palstave or a flanged axe.

Bronze Age flanged axe, (S1). Not seen by NLA. Found in the spring of 1980, 'hooked in the tines and the tractor was unable to advance'.
The grid reference/location is to the north of Rugg's Hall, but the sketch plan locates this somewhere in the field to the south.
