Summary

A two storey square timber framed house, the ground floor clad in weatherboarding, the upper in shingles. It was built in about 1932 for the Ideal Home Exhibition as an example of a French Canadian house, and later sold to Notre Dame Convent, who erected it here as part of a Retreat.

Square timber framed house of two storeys with full height recessed arch on garden front. Ground floor clad in weatherboarding, upper floor in shingles. Roof formerly cedar shingles, now slate. Central stack.
Stated to have been built for the Ideal Home Exhibition of 1932 (or thereabouts) as an example of a French Canadian house; afterwards sold to Notre Dame Convent, Norwich who erected it here as part of a Retreat.
