(S1) describes as early 17th century timber frame; thatched roof.
West end 2 storeys and attic, diagonal shafted stack offcentre, east end one storey and dormer attic.

Seen only from distance, but this gives very much the impression of the usual outline of a medieval hall house with inserted stack and rebuilt parlour block, and presumably inserted attic to hall also.
