Full Description
The site of a manor refered to in a terrier of 1553-1554 (S1). This manor preceded Heydon Hall, located 'west of the Hall, in Bartrams'.

Mound noted.
1977. Mound destroyed, observed, salvage record made.
Ditch discovered, contained two sherds of possible Thetford type ware, burnt daub, animal bones.
Roman, Late Saxon, medieval pottery and domestic refuse.

Roman, Late Saxon and medieval sherds and flints found.
1988. Metal detecting.
Roman coins, Roman, Early Saxon (S2), Middle Saxon, medieval metalwork.
1989. Metal detecting.
