Summary

A series of earthwork enclosures are the remains of medieval tofts, extending from a medieval hollow way. Several house platforms have been identified, including one which is enclosure by a moat. Roman and medieval pottery, and other medieval finds, have been recovered from the site.

Full Description

1984.
(S1) shows rectangular ditched enclosure with other linear features.

1996. Visit identified a series of toft like enclosures, including one moated.
Some platforms indicate probable building positions.
Pottery, mostly medieval, found in 4 locations.
Earthwork survey to be arranged, pottery details to be incorporated into the resultant report.
