Summary

An Early Saxon urn was found reportedly found at this location in 1913 - although NHER 21317 has also been suggested as the location of this discovery. This site is though known locally as 'Blood Hills'; a placename often associated with Early Saxon cemetery sites. Metal-detecting in 1999 recovered medieval coins, pottery and a strap fitting.
