Summary

Several possible sub-rectangular enclosures, which may represent medieval to post medieval tofts or field boundaries, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on land to the north of Low Road, Stow Bedon. Fieldwalking in 1999 recovered three unglazed medieval pottery sherds, and noted that the earthworks of the enclosure had degraded.

October 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Several possible sub-rectangular enclosures, which may represent medieval to post medieval tofts or field boundaries, are visible as earthworks (S1-S2), and cropmarks (S3) on aerial photographs on land to the north of Low Road, Stow Bedon.
The site is centred on TL 9566 9412 and consists of a series of earthwork enclosures, or possible tofts, measuring up to 35m x 31m internally. It is just possible on the earliest photographs to suggest that the internal areas are slightly raised, but it is difficult to be certain of this.
E. Ford (NMP), 24 October 2012.
