Summary

In around 1974 a Neolithic polished flint axehead and a Neolithic flaked flint axehead were discovered at this location, along with a possible prehistoric flint hammerstone

1974. Stray Find.
Found in hoeing sugar beet (Field 514):
Neolithic chipped flint axehead with tapered butt.
?Prehistoric circular flint pebble, about 4in [10cm] diameter with battered edge - hammerstone? See sketch on reverse of (S1).
Seen by A. Gregory (NAU), 30 August 1974.
Also found, but in another's possession:
Half a Neolithic polished flint axe.
Information from (S1). These discoveries were reported in (S2).

December 1995. Metal-detecting.
Field containing NHER 3197 and NHER 3198, formerly two fields.
Collection of finds are all late post medieval/modern.
