Late medieval or early post medieval silver seal matrix, with pierced globular terminal and facetted handle with 3 transverse 'collars'. Oval bezel shield. cf. Tonnochy Cat. No. 438.

Chequy [or and gules] a bend ermine charged with a fleur-de-lis for difference Clifton family (of Fakenham, Norfolk).
