Summary

Metal detecting in 1995 and 2000 recovered a lovely medieval pointed oval bronze seal matrix depicting a lamb and a flag as well as a fragment of a post medieval double-looped buckle frame.

Lovely 14th century pointed oval bronze seal matrix with loop at top on reverse. Lamb and flag. ECCE AGNVS DEI.

April-May 2000. Metal detecting.
H. M. Geake (NCM) identified:
?Medieval unknown object which seems poorly made, with casting flashes. Two lengths of D-section rod have unequal curves, and where they meet is an expanded sub-hexagonal lobe with file marks on one face and a broken ?rivet on the other.
Early post medieval one loop and fragment of second from a double-looped buckle frame. The surviving loop is oval with a pointed outer edge which has the remains of a relief rosette. The bar protrudes slightly beyond the frame.
