Full Description
September 1996. Tidal scour of upper beach.
Abraded relict ploughsoil with medieval and late medieval/Transitional sherds, stonewares and Iron Age sherds (some possibly Early Saxon).
Worked flints, some burnt.
Fragments of lava quern.
Cut into clay below are pits and ditches, some containing unabraded Roman sherds, some with medieval sherds. Some animal teeth.
