Summary

In 1996 a piece of medieval pottery was found in the garden of a property on the edge of Summer End Common. The property may have been a medieval toft and may represent medieval encroachment onto the common.

One glazed Grimston Ware jug fragment, multiple applied, olive brown iron glazed scales in curved edged panel.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
Property is on edge of common, possibly an encroachment onto former common. House and adjacent barn on Tithe Map (S1).
