A. Miller (Suffolk County Council NMP), 7 July 2000.

Rare 'Hedgehog' anti-tank block, the only one of the type in area.
Situated on north corner of bridge with five sockets in side of road.
Vague outline of other sockets remain. Probably once five by six sockets in all, into which railway line could be inserted. Date 1940.
Survey No. B3-3.
Information from [1]. See record form in file.
D. Walker (NLA), July 1996.

The block remains, it has three sections of railway rails set into its upper face and sawn off flush. Interestingly the rails are of an early type. The road has been repaired and the sockets were not noted, but may remain. The bridge is dated 1928.
E. Rose (NLA), 31 August 2000.
