A World War Two pillbox is visible on one RAF aerial photograph image from 27th June 1946 (S1). The pillbox was only visible on one quite blurred aerial photograph with no available stereo pair. The structure is obscured on all of the other available aerial photographs due to tree and vegetation cover. The pillbox is a type 2/20, measuring 5.5m across, located at TG 0899 4299. The structure appears to have two back-to-back rectangular structures covering the approaches to the northwest and to the northeast.
S. Massey (NMP), 25 March 2003.
