Summary

In 1997 arable work on this site exposed a hole of some 8m depth, growing from 1m diameter at the surface to 2m at the bottom. It is possible that this feature may have been a well, or a natural solution hole. A small number of prehistoric flints and medieval pottery sherds were recovered from the adjacent area.
