Full Description
1966. Stray Find.
Found at Vincent Hill (West Newton).
Neolithic chipped flint axehead. See drawing (S1).
According to [1]:
"Quite a lot of flint scrapers, flakes etc to be found on [this] hill. Used to be part of Flitcham Common.
Shown by 16th century maps; one map speaks of a green bank running across south slopes.
Information from (S2). A Note on (S1) suggests that this object is in the Sandringham Estate Museum ('York Cottage Museum').
