The ridge and furrow is visible extending further to the north. However, there appears to be two forms of ridge and furrow here. An earlier curving form (medieval?) partially overlain by a sea bank (dating to pre 1588?) and a presumably later straight form which possibly relates to drainage more than cultivation. This straighter ridge and furrow is in Sandringham parish, the curving forms in Castle Rising.
A. Miller (SCC NMP), 7 July 2000.
