Summary

A ruined World War Two pillbox close to Shepherd's Plantation. 1946 aerial photography shows that at the time, a searchlight battery and a possible gun emplacement stood in the same area.

RAF air photograph shows searchlight battery in vicinity of pillbox which is not readily identified. Three conjoined circular structures with one of similar size to northeast and other smaller structures which may in part be gun emplacements.
