Summary

A substantial terrace cut into hillside was observed. It was probably a garden feature perhaps related to the nearby Old Rectory (NHER 28466) where a chalk-lined well still survives.

Substantial terrace cut into hillside - name 'The Terrace' on Ordnance Survey - most probably a garden feature. The former rectory was just to the west, and a chalk-lined well still survives.
