Map

1945. RAF air photograph.
Linear feature.

24 September 1997.
Visit confirmed an east-to-west causeway, about 5m wide, up to 0.6m high and with very slight flanking ditch to south.
To east of watercourse, the feature is much more diffuse and curves towards the existing hedge.
B. Cushion (NLA), September 1997.

July 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The possible causeway described above, which is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), is of doubtful archaeological significance and consequently has not been mapped by the NMP. Its eastern end appears to meet a bridge across the canalised stream to its east, which itself appears to be relatively modern, and it also seems to relate to the pattern of modern drains.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 29 July 2007.
