Summary

Metal detecting here in 1996 retrieved a Late Saxon stirrup mount, medieval vessel foot and two post medieval coins. Four prehistoric worked flints and thirty-five pieces of medieval pottery were also found in this location.

Late Saxon stirrup mount (S1), sub-lozenge shape with pierced apex and two rivets in basal flange securing iron strip. Engraved ?foliate ornament. 11th century. Polaroid taken by NCM.
Medieval vessel foot.
