Summary
Metal detecting in 1997 recovered a Roman coin and part of a 6th century brooch. The brooch fragment is decorated with knobs and ring-in-dot motifs.

1997. Metal detecting.
Round Hill.
Early Saxon headplate of a small-long brooch, with three half-round cast-in-one knobs. Plate decorated with three ring-in-dots. Pin lug on reverse. 6th century.
