Summary

Metal-detecting recovered two medieval coins and part of a coin. A medieval enamelled and gilded heraldic buckle plate fragment were also found. Metal-detecting between 2009 and 2011 recovered Romano-British, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects plus medieval and post-medieval coins.

1997. Metal-detecting finds.
Two medieval coins and coin fragment. See list in file.
Medieval enamelled and gilded buckle plate fragment. Rectangular blue enamel panel with yellow/green enamel figures. Two attachment lobes plus secondary stud through lions head. 13th/14th century. The arms are not known at present but may be a purely decorative addition copying armourial bearings.
