Summary

A very large 15th century stone cross stands on Castle Rising green. It has five steps up to an octagonal base with polygonal buttresses, a square upper stage with angle shafts, and a restored shaft and cross.

Cross, 15th century. Five steps up to octagonal base with polygonal buttresses, square upper stage with angle shafts, restored shaft and cross. Very large. Has plaque marking restoration. Is the cross itself the one noted by (S1) as being in the church in 1930s? Stands on green.
