Summary

An archaeological evaluation was carried out close to the ecclesiastical centre of Marham. No significant archaeological features were found. Two pieces of medieval pot were recovered.

Full Description

January 1998. Trial Trench.
Evaluation trench in advance of housing.
Preliminary report notes a remarkable lack of occupation in this site between two church sites. Two sherds possibly prehistoric were found and a number of unidentifiable features.
Final report changes the two prehistoric sherds to one medieval and one undated.
