Summary

In 1958 a Neolithic flaked flint axehead was recovered from clay and gravel from this site. Another axehead in the King's Lynn Museum is also thought to have come from this site.

12 February 1958. Found in clay and gravel at depth of 0.3m (1ft).
Chipped flint axe according to KLM; 'axehead' on NCM card (S1). Also fragment of bone.
In KLM [1].
Original information from NCM card (S1), altered and grid ref corrected from KLM 6 inch map (S2).

F. Healy notes another similar flint tool in KLM from West Winch [2], continuity of daybook number suggests possibly from same site.
