Summary

This cemetery was laid out in 1856. The original lodge remains, although it has been altered at a later date. The cemetery was extended in 1897. The cemetery is of national importance because the original planting plan is still in place. This plan has similarities to the work of J. A. Repton who has local associations.

Begun in 1856. Original lodge remains, altered. Extended 1897. Original planting plan largely remains and has similarities with the work of J. A. Repton. W. Repton owned part of the land. Of national importance due to survival of original planting.
