Summary

Metal-detecting in 1998 and 20114 recovered Roman and medieval coins as well as Late Iron Age to Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Iron Age/early Roman brooch; Roman finger rings, a brooch and unidentified copper alloy objects; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval rotary key and brooch; a medieval/post-medieval unidentified object, purse bar, copper alloy weight and scale-tang knife end-cap and a post-medieval harness mount and extraordinary incomplete copper alloy unidentified object, possibly in the form of an animal.

Extraordinary unidentified incomplete copper alloy object. Flat, cast, decorated on each face with engraved lines and short transverse lines. Two `legs', one double, and one coxcomb like edge opposite. One side sooted. Either end broken. Post medieval. Probably zoomorphic.
