Full Description
Earlier 1998 at TF 6719 1166 to 6721 1161.
Visible in dyke on northeast side of Petticoat Lane; layer of burnt flint beneath peat on post glacial land surface.
On field in upcast: a human cranial fragment (90 by 63mm), in good condition, some dark (?peat) staining and a trace of blue deposit (vivianite). Part of edge showing fresh break.
