Summary

Metal detector finds from the site include Roman, medieval and post medieval metal objects. One 4th century AD coin has been recovered, as have medieval and post medieval coins (one of which is a token made in East Dereham in 1660). Fieldwalking in 1998 recovered prehistoric flint artefacts and burnt flint (pot boilers), as well as medieval and post medieval brick and tile. Subsequent excavation in 1999 recorded two intersecting quarry pits, which may have been machine excavated.
