April/May 1998. Metal detecting finds.
Roman brooch, rather corroded Dolphin with wide semi-circular wings open at back for spring (rear facing hook to hold chord missing). One wing survives, decorated on front with 2 broad vertical grooves with a moulding between. The bow is even more corroded, but has longitudinal decoration with a catchplate on reverse. 1st century AD.
