June 1998. Found in walking across sugar beet field.
Flint implement, white patina with iron staining. From photograph (S1) (in file) this appears to be a Neolithic miniature axe about 10cm (4 inches) long by 2.5cm (1 inch) thick.
Finder urged to bring it to NCM for identification.
