Full Description
Manor House listed (S1) as around 1740 though also stated to be around 1690.
Contemporary avenue to west links with those in The Antinghams (NHER 33713) and the churchyard. House extended to south in 19th century; parkland landscape established around the house 1830-1840. At some later date the road to northeast was moved away from the house.
Norfolk Historic Gardens Survey grades as three-star, national importance, due to relationship with The Antinghams (NHER 33713) and the Churchyard.
See survey (S2) for details.
Compiled by E. Rose (NLA), 14 July 1998.
For the house itself see (NHER 46426), which maintains the date of 1740 with a 1930 wing. A detailed description is given of the ornate 18th century interior.
Compiled by E. Rose (NLA), 16 March 1999.
