Summary

Two complete post medieval jugs were found during the digging of a soakaway in the early 1990s. Further investigation uncovered a cobbled floor.

1994 or thereabouts. Found in digging soakaway. Manships Cottage, School Road.
Two Siegburg jugs, complete but smashed by workmen, now reassembled.
Afterwards an excavation carried out by sources [1] and [2] uncovered a cobbled floor.
Jugs in possession of [3], daughter of [1] who has since moved but may present the jugs to NCM.
Information from [1] who states a full record made at NCM at the time, but not found by NCM staff in 1997.
House located from 1:2500 Ordnance Survey; older property than estates each side.
