2 August 1998. Metal detecting.
Plate from late 17th/early 18th century candle snuffer box. Large dot in cirles in row along centre. Longitudinal and transverse grooves. Surviving end is triangular, with three deep drilled dots. Solder on reverse. Very close to an example from Lincolnshire (of which (S1) is in NCM). Late 17th, early 18th century.
