Summary

Metal detecting between 1998 and 2007 recovered a range of objects, including Roman brooches, a Saxon wrist clasp, medieval coins, a medieval decorated horse harness pendant and post medieval coins.

August - September 1998. Metal detecting.
1) Beautiful little medieval bronze horse harness pendant in two parts.
Central part a sexfoil rosette with central perforation, hanging within a frame with six arches to accommodate the foils. Gilded. Bronze hinge bar now corroded solid.
2) Remains of medieval bronze spur buckle, most of frame missing; integral plate with pin hole blocked by iron corrosion, and two rivet holes (one with bronze rivet), gilded and ending in a little hook.

2 Roman Brooches (1 tinned Hod hill, 1 plate).
4 medieval coins, 1 coin weight, 1 buckle plate (gilt) and 1 key.
1 medieval/post-medieval vessel foot (?Ewer).
3 post-medieval coins, 1 token, 1 buckle, 1 ?sword belt mount, 2 hooked tags, 1 lead button, 2 belt mounts (1 tinned) and 3 lead cloth seals.
