Identified by J. Davies (NCM) August 1998.
See coin sheet in file.
K. Sussams (NCM) 21 October 1998.

March-September 2012. Watching Brief.
Examination of easements stripped during installation of underground electricity cables along southern and eastern sides of field (Area 1).
No archaeologically-significant features were observed.
It should though be noted that conditions were far from ideal, with most, if not all, of the easements stripped without archaeological supervision.
A small number of objects were recovered from the topsoil:
2 post-medieval pottery sherds, 1 coin and 1 jetton.
3 World War Two coins (1939 farthing, ?1940 United States one cent piece and 1943 George VI sixpence).
1 modern lead bullet fragment.
1 undatable unidentified lead object.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 7 August 2021.
