Full Description
September 1998. Metal detecting find.
Bronze Middle Saxon/Late Saxon strap end. Double notch at top, open end. Tongue-shaped body with central sunken field with traces of white material and incised linear and notched decoration. Animal head with engraved lines, deep-set eyes and notched snout with dots for nostrils. Single rivet (bronze) at open end. See (S1).
