Summary

Museum records refer to the donation of a Roman cup, some Roman pottery and some bones found at Harpley Heath from Mr W. Norman in 1863. The exact nature of this donation and the location of the finds are unclear. They may be finds from the excavations of Harpley barrows by F.R. Lukis in 1843.

'Some Roman pottery with bones from Harpley Heath', donor Mr W. Norman, May 9 1868.

Does this convey anything to you? I can't find any pottery to be identified. ?Is this by any chance the stuff from the Harpley barrows dug by F.R. Lukis?
