Full Description
Platform barrow about 1.2m high, 29.2m diameter.
Turf covered, undug except by rabbits.
14 June 1936
Flakes picked up by A. Q. Watson.
R. R. Clarke (NCM)
1938.
Bronze Age sherds from burrows by P. L. K. Schwabe.
(S1) calls this Anmer.
January 1948.
Excavation of centre by I. J. Thatcher.
Section drawn but destroyed.
Fragments of Bronze Age pottery found.
On (S2) R. R. Clarke (NCM) notes as 'moothill of Freebridge Hundred', but (S3) and (S4) say site NHER 3477 is the moothill.
(S5) states that 'There are many Roman remains from tumuli on Anmer Heath'.

Mound 29m diameter, 1.4m high covered in elders on ploughed field.
