Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and on the ground. Prehistoric flint flakes have been found on the site. The barrow is close to a number of other barrows in the area, see NHER 3625 and NHER 3626.

On West Rudham Common, south of old gravel pit.
Ditch and slight bank 22m in diameter, 1.3m high.
68.5m along bottom of ditch.
Flint flakes on it.

June 1936.
Found by A. Q. Watson and J. E. Sainty.
Condition then good.

Seen R. R. Clarke (NCM) 14 July 1936.

Ploughed up 1941.

Sited below crest of hill on heath.
Mound 35m diameter, 1.5m high, ditch 5m wide, 1m deep, except northwest.
Slight outer bank, on north 3m wide,
30cm high, on south 4m wide, 50cm high.
Track crosses bank on south.
Covered with bracken and elders.
