Full Description
Plotted at TF 8162 2497 (Ordnance Survey Reference is 8166 2497).
Tumulus on common.
Bell barrow with ditch and bank on south side of railway which it practically adjoins in northeast corner of that part of common. A very fine tumulus, about 31m diameter, 9.1m high. Ditch and bank well marked from 22.8m on southeast side but apparently dug away on northwest when railway constructed.

2 potsherds found; brown plain sherd, slightly curved, hard surface, 7mm thick and dark shelly sherd, exterior red, undecorated 10mm thick (?Late Bronze Age).

Mound 36m diameter, 4m high, ditch 6m wide, 50cm deep, faint outer bank up to 40cm high on south.
West edge of barrow damaged (during railway construction?)
On edge of plantation Grassed.
Rabbit infested.
