Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1946 show a series of earthwork enclosures on the north side of Tibenham Long Row (common). These features may be medieval tofts and closes. Subsequent investigations of the site found it to be under heavy grass cover.

Feb 1946. RAF aerial photograph.
Shows a series of earthwork enclosures interpreted as tofts and closes, on the north side of Tibenham Long Row (common), the ditched boundary noted as southern edge of earth works.

July 1973. Ordnance Survey aerial photograph.
Shows area as grassland - often hay crop, with features still extant.

November 1998.
Thought to be arable as northern boundary has disappeared form present maps.
