Summary

Pair of cottages, 18th century perhaps built around an older core.
Timber frame with some brick; thatched.
4 cell lobby entrance plan.
Central axial stack and left hand gable stack; brick gable wall with returns, some diaperwork, dated as 18th century.

Severely damaged by fire some time in 2013/2014.

Inspection July 2014 soon after fire.
17th-century timber frame with central axial stack. Jowled posts to five bays with cranked arch bracing to tie beams and wall plates. Westernmost truss of upper crucks bolted to wall plate. Two five -light diamond mullion windows to north east one of which uncovered itself this morning. Principal floor beams with nicked chamfer stops and stepped run-outs. Brick west gable -end and stack are an 18th century addition with blackened headers and a platband. Brief photographic record taken.
